THE MUSIC INDUSTRY- HOW DOES HORRORCORE FIT IN?

I'm back...
This is always in my mind.
When back in the early 90's we seemeed to come to the conclusion that Horrorcore was here to stay in the mainstream, with groups such as THE GRAVEDIGGERS, and FLATLINERS, horrorcore was here to stay..or was it?
Diary of a Madman, one of the most well known horrorcore songs by THE GRAVEDIGGERS was the song that i can say really turned me into the music of horrorcore. Why? Because i loved hip hoip and horror and i felt it was just so special to see these two loves mixed into one pot. FLATLINERS was ok, but they sucked in the long run, while GRAVEDIGGERS had a long career.
It seems the industry has long tried to hide the music that I and others represent, why? Because according to long time family values( hence look how everything is marketed, women with tight jeans, ass everywhere, big tits, gold chains etc) yet horrorcore isnt as they say marketable. If women fucking donkeys on video, crack smokers on meth, and hookers playing violins is marketable, how come horrorcore isnt?
It comes down to one thing...money.
Horrorcore generates money of course, but until the industry gets a super horrorcore artist that is capable of making 10 million a year on his or her own, they don't give a fuck.
Look at NECRO for instance. He isn't horrorcore, he is DEATH RAP. But by himself he has amassed a large cult like following, all by himself. He has his own market...so how is it horror isnt marketable?
The industry is full of shit, that's why.
Until horrorcore makes millions in income, the industry just doesnt give a fuck.
Sad ain't it?
Well things need to change for the better.

THE BEGINNING OF HORROR

I remember being 3 years old watching the EXORCIST, that freaking movie really messed me up. To the point i am who i am now, yet i'm comftorable being who i am. It's a expression of art that allows me to be the creature i am, forever free to the will of my own imagination. The same imagination that created The J.Hexx Project. It all really deals with how i can look at this very world we live in, and see things in such a morbid, but yet almost entertaining way.
Ever since i can remember, i loved going to the VHS rental store in brooklyn when i was about 10 or 11 years old, looking through the aisles, checking out martial arts flicks from RUN RUN SHAW/ SHAW BROTHERS, then animation which i truly loved to watch. Taking a gander at the many titles, i stop to pick up a title like ROBOTECH, and TRANSFORMERS the movie(the animated one)and take both of them. Then my true reason for going so happy to rent movies....to peep the horror section.
The horror section was always tucked in the corner of the store, like no one wanted to venture in that section! I loved this, and felt a thrill doing so. There, i would pick up ZOMBIE and DAWN OF THE DEAD, later then i would grab THE EVIL DEAD, DEMONS, SUSPIRIA, INFERNO, THE NEW YORK RIPPER AND MANY MORE TITLES THAN I CAN TYPE. That was a important structure that i feel added to what i do today. The splatter king known as Tom Savini really made me look at horror as a art form, the way he would explode heads in the films he did for GEORGE ROMERO, and soundtracks form these movies even influenced me, especially the likes of GOBLIN, who worked with DARIO ARGENTO on many of his films. GIANETTI was quite a splatter king too, his work in ZOMBIE was influential on me as well.
Hip Hop of course was another thing that influenced me, but that i will save for another blog. Horror as i was yet to see, is reality. And the SEV'RD NERVEZ MUSIC in my body was about to spill. Later in my years, i slowly became the monster i am now.
Wow, what a big difference, yet i am still the same, even out the character.
How interesting....
